The SC Nation Public Works Department wears many hats. Every Public Works employee comes with their own set of special skills. Doug Buller, Director, Heath White (ITBC Representative), Casey Shallenburger, and Sam Needham all possess unique skills that enable the team to act as a cohesive unit and get the job done. They are multi-functional, multi- purpose individuals that are the infrastructure of the Nation. They are groundkeepers, carpenters, plumbers, movers and tree trimmers. They are the keepers of the buffalo herd and take pride in providing care to the herd. The department also assists Kreg Butler with the water department needs. At face value the Public Works Department’s main purpose is simple: Ensure optimal asset reliability and performance. The department does just that and much more.

Today, it now has a membership of 79 Tribal Nations and growing every year, sharing a mission to restore buffalo to Indian Country to preserve our historical, cultural, traditional, and spiritual relationship for future generations.
